More than anything, John wanted to be a cowboy. Taking pity on him, a rancher decided to give John a chance.
"This," he said, showing him a rope, "is a lariat. We use it to catch cows."
"I see," said John, trying to seem knowledgeable as he examined the lariat, "And what do you use for bait?"

Life story: Jason is the third generation rancher and he wouldn't have it any other way. As a young man he didn't want to follow in his father's footsteps and moved to Austin for several years to work as an auto-mechanic. However, he missed his family ranch so much that he decided to move back. Eventually he married Martha, a girl he's known since both of them were toddlers. They are now expecting their third child and can't be any happier.
